Our pricing, made easy!
To make working out the end cost of your holiday easy, we have broken down all the costs you will need to consider into three simple sections.
1. Costs when you book…

- One way supplement for routes starting and ending at different bases.*
*These supplementary fees are automatically added where applicable and are included in prices shown on this website. They are then shown separately in the price summary, when you proceed to book.
Other optional costs
We have many optional extras available to help make your holiday more easy, comfortable and fun. You can purchase these when you initially book your holiday, or you can add them on any time afterwards. These can even be purchased when you arrive at the base to begin your boating holiday. However, we do recommend that you book any extras before you travel, as some extras may not be available at such short notice and the price may increase. If you want to find out more about adding an extra just give us a call and speak to one of our boating experts, who will advise you on what’s available and arrange everything. Visit our extras page for more information.
Damage Liability Reduction (DLR)
When you collect your boat at the start of your holiday, you must pay a refundable Damage Deposit (see below). If you lose or damage your boat your liability is limited to the amount collected. However, you can significantly reduce the amount of deposit required, and thus your liability, by purchasing a non-refundable Damage Liability Reduction (DLR).
Holiday extras
Optional add-ons you can purchase include:
- Bikes
- Barbecues & lanterns
- Deck cushions
- Groceries*
- Early check-in & late check-out
- Wi-fi
- Angling dinghy
- Stand-up paddle boards
- And more…
Please note that not all extras are available at all bases. All Liberty boat bookings include selected holiday extras free of charge.
2. Costs at the base…
When you arrive, our base staff look forward to welcoming you to their cruising region and aim to make your arrival and vacation as smooth and enjoyable as possible. The reception team are also required to take a Fuel Deposit and a Damage Deposit from you by way of a credit card.
You will have to pay a refundable Damage Deposit at the base before you begin cruising. The Damage Deposit will be retained (in part or in full) when you return your boat IF the boat or any of its equipment or inventory that has been damaged or lost. You will not have to pay more than the deposit collected. You will not have to pay more than the initial amount collected. Please read our terms and conditions for full details and costs.
Please note: the amount of Damage Deposit required, and thus your liability, may be significantly reduced by purchasing a non-refundable Damage Liability Reduction (DLR). See above and optional extras for details.
A Fuel Charge covers the fuel you use to power the boats engine as well as onboard systems (such as heating), gas and general engine wear & tear. At your start base, you are required to leave an Fuel Deposit in local currency. At the end of your cruise, your Fuel Charge will be calculated based on the number of hours your engine has been running and you will either be refunded the difference or asked to pay for any excess hours used. See compulsory costs for more details.
3. If and when needed…
You’ll need to plan for travel costs, personal insurance as well a few smaller costs that you might encounter during your holiday.
You are responsible for organising and purchasing you own travel arrangement to and from our bases. Take a look at our helpful base pages for the best ways to travel to/from our bases, as well as loads of useful information on what you might find when you arrive.
When planning your holiday you may also want to budget for the following costs:
