We took our time and travelled from Smiths Falls southbound, reaching Jones Falls and returning in one week. We could have driven further but there is so much to savor along the way. Don’t rush, just enjoy the journey!

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip, from the boat to the scenery. We loved Westport and enjoyed going through all the locks. We went from Smith Falls south, to Seeleys Bay and back again. We enjoyed the double kayak we rented as well.

Having screens was a great improvement

Had a great time. The Horizon 3 would not be our choice again for three couples. Aft cabins were quite cramped, limited headroom. The rest of the boat and forward cabin were great.

We were fortunate to have excellent weather and boating conditions. The locks. Nd staff operating them were excellent. Some towns and sights along the day were interesting and catered to boaters.

Horizon 3 was a very comfortable boat with all the amenities a family could need (minus a few bumps on the head between the bedroom/bathroom doors for the tallest). Electrical autonomy comes very handy when there’s no shore electricity through the night.

Great boat. Lots of room. Very clean. Easy to handle. Keep an eye on your water levels.

We had a great time. Most enjoyable vacation in a long time.

It would have been a 5 star if it hadn’t been so crowded on the Rideau.

Great boat perfect for a family holiday

We knew renting a houseboat would be memorable but we weren’t sure if it would be a good or bad memorable. Definitely was a good memorable. Definitely would recommend.

The boat was great, it was nice to have a bathroom for each cabin as we traveled as 3 couples. There was enough space for all of us to relax and enjoy the boat. The master cabin had a huge bed, the other cabins had 2 small twin beds which were fine although not great for people over 6 feet tall but we on a boat and not expecting large beds!
We weren’t sure how far we could travel but went further than the suggested itinerary as we hit the locks just right, which of course you can’t predict.
We loved our holiday and would definitely recommend it to others and do it again.
