Our customer reviews for Elegance
See all reviews >Would book a bigger boat next time as it was a bit small as one passenger was over six foot.
Would be better if the was at least one 240volt outlet that works of a inverter will not in port.
We did a canal boat trip with Le Boat which originated in Migennes. Whilst we had to change our plans mid trip due to the high levels of water in the river Yonne, the Migennes Le Boat team were fantastic in helping and advising us where to go. We ended up spending a portion of our time on the canal de Bourgogne and enjoyed the whole experience. The boat we had (Elegance) was well equipped and comfortable for our trip. I would thoroughly recommend doing a canal boat trip with Le Boat, especially out of Migennes.
We plotted peak tulip day over many years and scheduled that for the middle day. Our provided maps were correctly annotated. We subscribe to Waterkaart and Waterkaart Live, since Nieuwpoort, Belgium. There were new updates the morning of departure, which we downloaded over LeBoat Wifi. With two full weeks and enough activites planned for four, we were busy the entire time. LeBoat suggested marinas were ideally located..
Plenty of space for 5 of us and all kitchen equipment and necessities provided.
This was our third Le Boat trip in an Elegance, so we were quite well prepared for her handling and abilities. This came in handy at some of the weirs on the Baise River. Her lovely, and well laid out upper deck were, as always, our perch for the day. We had one small issue, which Le Boat sent out a tech to resolve rather quickly. Everything in this boat was spit spot and tidy. We opted for the deck cushions again, which was clutch, as we ran some days very early and ate up there many evenings. She’s a wonderful boat. We booked an Elegance for Holland, next.
We really enjoyed our holiday and would do it again – possibly in a newer boat
Cool boat perfect for 4 people
We ran for one week up through Diiksmuide to Yepres which was, at times emotional. We went to WWW1 museums and sites. We took the tram to the coast to do the Atlantic Wall museum. We sat down with Bieke a second time to prepare for our week in Bruges and Ghent. The food was fabulous. The beer and brewery tours were all enjoyable. We went to chocolate museums, a lace museum, a Belgian fry museum, and many, many churches. The bikes were a really good, and much used option. We ate three meals a day on-board, and the fourth one out. The maps that were provided for the canals and the cities were also most appreciated. Sadly, there was a dirth of fondu items on Elegance, but fortunately, at 3 Euro a set, they were quickly obtained and left for future travelers. There were two nice big frying pans in the galley, so crepes were available at all times! The team at leBoat really did a great job!
The boat was great, the main living area was spacious with two separate seating / dining areas. The patio door to the back and good steps onto the roof top patio / driving position.
The kitchen is compact but perfectly workable. Each bedroom has it’s own bathroom, which is good.
The canal route its self if really nice, with interesting lochs and smaller canal sections joining them together. All in all a really nice holiday.
Easy to navigate spacious boat plenty of room for 5 of us
Boat well equipped
Clean and comfortable
Destinations very interesting
Staff very efficient
Thank you
Will definitely be back
Boat was excellent & the Emerald Star staff. Great holiday experience for out teenage kids
I haven’t cruised on the Shannon since 1976 with my children so it was a great memory trip
The elegance vessel was great especially for beginners as it has bow thrusters which helped enormously in the beginning when mooring up for the night or positioning in locks. The vessel has 3 double cabins with their own showers and loos. Hot water for showers was great and didn’t run out even with 4 adults and an 8 year old boy. Beds are quite spacious, 2 of the adults are over 6 feet in height and slept without being scrunched up
We were able to cover quite a lot of the Shannon and Lough Derg. Crusier spacious and comfortable.
Minor problem with one of the showers not working which team tried but were unable to fix
Maps and guides were very helpful. Interior of boat was a little worn in places but overall very clean and well-stocked with dining and cooking utensils. Booked a boat with an extra room which was definitely needed.
Super boat with lots of space. A little underpowered and without bowtruster we could have had difficulty in some locations

When the temperatures soar, our cabin air cooling system can help make your night’s sleep a little more comfortable. Air cooling uses canal/river water to produce cool air which is blown out through vents.
Please note: This is not the same as air-conditioning which can achieve lower temperatures and has a thermostatic control. Performance significantly reduces if canal/river temperature is too high.
