Countess’s key features
- The central saloon with convertible double love seat bed has a radio/CD player and an inside steering station.
- The spacious U-shaped kitchen/galley has an electric refrigerator, stove, sink, and lots of cabinet space.
- The forward cabin’s two single beds and adjacent shower and toilet are great for children or two adults.
- Ideal for Mom and Dad, the extremely private stateroom at the rear of the boat has a double bed and an en-suite shower and toilet.
- The rear sundeck is large and well suited for entertaining. The second steering station affords excellent visibility.
- The swim platform runs the full width of the boat. It also makes getting on and off the boat easier at the dock.
- The onboard electrical system runs on 12-volt DC power. There’s also 220-volt shore power.
- The Countess is equipped with an efficient and reliable diesel engine.

The boat was very clean, if not a little worn…
The boat was very clean, if not a little worn in places. The double bed in the rear cabin is not very long, certainly not for a 6’4 person, but the beds in the forward cabin are a little bit longer. The kitchen was well equipped and the fridge kept the wine and beer nicely chilled. After cruising there was always plenty of hot water for the two of us to shower, but the lack of shower curtain left the door soaking wet which then dripped on the outside floor and needed to be cleaned up.
Although the Countess does no have bow thrusters I found manoeuvring for locks and mooring it relatively simple, provided the speed down.
