- In the saloon, you will find a radio/CD player.
- The kitchen/galley is well equipped and has a stove, sink, and electric refrigerator.
- There’s a double bed (instead of two singles) in the rear stateroom.
- Moreover, there’s a single sofa bed and a dinette converting into a second single beds in the saloon, only suitable for children or teenagers.
- Each Cirrus B model boasts 220-volt shore power and an onboard 12-volt DC electrical system.
- The Cirrus B is equipped with an efficient and reliable diesel engine.

We found the staff at the base were very friendly…
We found the staff at the base were very friendly and aimed to please, whether booking taxis for us (merci Veronique), or advising on restaurants, or helping us out when we encountered a problem with starting – the glow plug required a long time to heat up, much longer than usual. I thought it was faulty and both Jamie and Pierre gave me good advice on the phone, and were even willing to drop everything and come and sort it out. but there was a knack to it, and it worked perfectly once I had learned it. The region is unspoiled and the cruising effortless. It’s certainly suitable for novices and experienced hands alike.
What we find is that as soon as you step aboard, the pace of life slows down greatly. Pottering along at just 3 mph is incredibly good for the soul. It’s also great for seeing nature. In our first day out of the base, we counted over 20 kingfishers, which tells you a lot about the quality and tranquility of the canal. We can certainly recommend this cruise.
