Please note: Boats in our Scottish fleet ending with ‘WHS’ were previously operated by West Highland Sailing, and are older than boats from our regular budget fleet. This is reflected in the price.

Braemore WHS's key features

A compact kitchen, with refridgator, burners and oven neighbours a birght and airy saloon with table and ample seating , and a comfortable dinette opposite with ample seating for 6. 

Braemore WHS - Cabine avant

Two cabins, one at the front and another at the rear each have their own shower/toilet rooms , although the facilites for the front cabin are accessed via a door opposite the kitchen.

The boat can be steered from inside and from the sundeck, accessed via steps in the saloon.

Everything went well from the moment we booked until we gave the boat back. The staff is very friendly, helpful and able to adapt to different circumstances (e.g. when we arrived very late on day 1 duo to a car accident on the main road leading to the boat yard, they made all necessary arrangements, so that we could still arrive on that day and stay at the boat, instead of looking for alternative accommodation). The boat was in good condition and as we expected. Any queries were answered promptly and effectively. We would do it again and would certainly recommend it to everyone. The holiday was relaxing, beautiful and well organised.

Very helpful, friendly and competent staff with lots of tips and advice. Good introduction to the boat. The boat was spotless. We took an older boat which, although without the convenience of a bow thruster, was good to handle. My only complaint would be the windows, as when the weather was bad, they were very drafty.

Boat handover and return was good. Glad that we weren't charged by the hour for the engine. If we had we would not have received over 50% of our fuel deposit back. Boat was suitable for us all.

The staff on site were very helpful. The boat itself, however was about 30 tears old very tired and shabby and barely driveable when any sort of wind got up. Not much to do on the Caledonian Canal. Boat very tired, shabby and underpowered. Didn't even consider taking it on to Loch Ness with winds forecast to get a bit stronger.
