You can see and do lots from Vinkeveen. The base itself is located in the popular summer holiday spot, Vinkeveen Plassen, great for water sports, swimming and lake-side dining. Amsterdam, is just 4.5hrs cruising to the north. To the southeast, the trendy university city of Utrecht is reachable in just 4hrs, while the famous cheese making towns of Gouda and Edam, the famous Keukenhof Flowerpark at Lisse and the iconic windmills at Zaanse Schans are all within 2 – 4 days of cruising from Vinkeveen.
